Ethiopian Church Pilgrimage to Israel

Arrival at Ben-Gurion Airport, meet and assistance by a Kenes Tours representative, transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Early morning, attend service at the Ethiopian Church, after breakfast, drive to visit Bethlehem, visit the Basilica of the Nativity, Chapel of St. Jerome and the Crusader Cluster, and later the Milk Grotto. Debre Selem Eyesus Ethiopian Monastery and the Shepherds field, before returning to Jerusalem to visit Mt Zion, and return to your hotel.

Dinner and overnight.

Drive to the Old City, we will enter via St. Stephen’s Gate or Lions Gate, and pass the Pool of Bethesda, we will walk along the Via Dolorosa, visit the Church of the Flagellation, Ecce Homo Arch, the Church of Resurrection, and we will continue to the Der Sultan Ethiopian Monastery.

We will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast and we will leave for a visit to the New City of Jerusalem, we will stop at the Menorah in front of the Knesset, the Israeli Parliament building, and we will continue towards Ein Karem, the birthplace of John the Baptist. We will visit the Church of the Visitation, the site of the home of Mary’s, cousin of Elizabeth and Zacharias.

Return to the hotel and dinner, overnight.

After breakfast, we will leave our hotel and drive via the Judean Desert, to Jericho, to visit the Mountain of the Temptation, and will see the Jordan River, and drive to Mt.Tabor, to visit the Church of the Transfiguration. We will continue to Cana to the visit the Church and the site of the first miracle of Jesus, the transformation of water into wine.

Drive to the hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we will start our day with a boat ride across the Sea Galilee to reach Capernaum, to visit St. Peter’s Memorial, St Peter’s house, and VI Century Synagogue. We will continue to Tabgha, the site of the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and the fish, and then we proceed to Mt of Beatitudes, where the sermon of the Mount was delivered. In the afternoon, we will be in Nazareth, to visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, and the ruins of the early Basilica, the Franciscan Museum, and St. Joseph’s Workshop. We will visit the market, the Church of the Synagogue, Mary’s Well and St. Gabriel’s Church.

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast and we will leave the hotel to reach Haifa and ascend to Mt Carmel, visit Stella Maris Convent, the Grotto of Elijah and we will continue to Tel Aviv via the Coastal Road, visit St. George and St. Peter Churches, before returning to Jerusalem, for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast, we will drive towards the Dead Sea, later we will visit Jericho for shopping and return to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight.

Breakfast and we will transfer to the Airport.
